Welcome to the home page of Saga Goryu Kado Helsinki Study group. We are a group of students practising classical japanese ikebana according to the tradition of the Saga Goryu school. The group practises under the supervision of a certified Saga Goryu style ikebana teacher, Ms. Riitta RIHO Salastie.

About Helsinki Study Group

Saga Goryu Kado Helsinki Study Group is a practise group founded in 2018 to organise lessons in Saga Goryu school of ikebana in Helsinki area. From 2015 onwards, there has been a small but growing number of students receiving instruction, and finally it was decided that a group would be established to facilitate lessons. The group welcomes newcomers and advanced students alike.

Workshop and exhibition in Stockholm

Ikebana International Stockholm Chapter will host a workshop led by Ms. Riitta Salastie on 24.11.–25.11.2018. The theme of the workshop is bunjinbana, the ikebana created with Chinese inspiration. Advanced practice from 16.00 onwards, beginners from 18.00 onwards. For the time being, the practise sessions are held in Annala, Hämeentie 154, building J, 00560, Helsinki.
